1) All designers must register on the forum. Be sure to include your real email address and contact info in your user profile. This is the main way for us contact you should you win!
2) All Blankie designs from the previous competition are eligible to win. Designers who participated in the last competition must download and use the new “submission kit” found the new “submit ideas” page and post on the new “entries” forums to be considered. You may “cut & paste” your older designs onto the new template, but the new template must be used in order to qualify. Make sure to read through the new “submit ideas” page too, as some things have changed.
3) Designs can be posted to the new “entries” forums until midnight eastern time on April 6th, 2009. At which time the "entries" and "critique" forum will be locked off and the scoring phase will begin.
4) You do not need to be an aarting member to vote. The design with the best average score as determined by the public “scoring sessions” will automatically be included in the “Blankie Designer Series 2” release. For more info on how scoring works, go here.
5) Remaining designs to be included in Aarting's "Designer Series" release will be chosen by Aarting staff via our "editor's choice". Winning "editor's choice" designs are chosen internally by examining design quality, overall scoring stats and community/forum participation.
1) The “GRAND PRIZE WINNER” with the highest overall scoring average will receive 1 counter top display case (25 toys) of the figurine he/she designed for the "Designer Series 2" release! The winning designer will also be showcased and have their work/website etc. highlighted in an exclusive interview on aarting.com!
2) The “EDITOR’S CHOICE" winners will each receive 5 copies of the figurine he/she designed! Each winner will have their designs included in the "Designer Series 2" release.
3) One designer, chosen by us, will win the opportunity to create the series’ box packaging and counter top display in his/her own unique art style and promote their artwork & website!
