so forgive the pictures. i sketched this all out on my subway ride home, then took pictures with my camera phone (easier than scanning since well, i have no scanner). if they're too blurry for anyone, i'll take new ones. i just wanted to get a general sense of what people thought before i moved on. the color of the bomb will be bright pink, lettering in black. and the explosion in the same pink and blue. the rainbow and hearts and everything will be bright colors, with the background being sky blue. same sky blue for the front. (i tried rotating this before uploading. not sure what i'm doing wrong, but i can't make this go left to right.)     doesn't have a name yet. it'll probably something bomb related. or not.

i like it and for the name i see the harts why not call it love is a tikking bomb. :)
maybe u can put all the top graphics on the blankies head and make blankie himself the dunamite stick ;) just an idea

i've thought of that but i like the roundness of the head for the bomb. i think it fits well.
i'm still playing with it though. thanks for the input!!

I agree the roundness of the head makes for a nice explosion, maybe use the two nubs as the ends of the dynamite. Draw some flared edges around the small bumps and color them red, like the front and back end of the dynamite.

Yes the "ears". The middle would still say boom, just use the ears as the front and end of the dynamite with the boom in the middle. Don't connect them the middle is blown apart leaving 2 ends. Another idea would be to color the ears black and draw a fuse off to one side of each one. There would be 2 little bombs on each side with the boom in the middle, or even hand grenades? Maybe even turn them into a couple hamsters, brown with some legs and tails. Just some thoughts, the "ears" seem out of place in the explosion.

thanks for the suggestion incorrectly. you're right though, the ears are totally out of place for this design. i like your idea as to how to work around them.
i'm still playing with ideas.....
